I'm pretty sure that this tv CAN'T display 1080P. It's just too small. There is a Sony 32' inch model that just came out about a month or two ago. I just bought it about one month ago, and dam...........MIT I'm happy with my purchase! Contrast is excellent, nice shades of black and freakin bright!! And it only costs 699. AND....... it is a 720P tv BUT it can display 1080P!!! Only through HDMI though. My PS3 looks damn amazing on it!!! The closer you sit to the tv the more detail you can see in the picture. I wanted a 40' inch Sony with 120Hz, but didn't have enough cash so I had to go lower price. Man am I glad that I ran into this awesome tv. its a sony bravia, so no doubt its image and hardware quality will be worth the value. as for the 1080p, i have no idea

 yeah well it says it supports 1080p so i dunno, all i know is its a very good tv, i believe sony is the best brand, but my friends getting a samsung which i thinks stupid, especially scince ill be paying $1099 (au) and it comes with a ps3 and they cost $688 (au)
