My money is on Gears 2. I myself hate gears but for some unknown reason it's popular.

There are way more people who will buy Gears 2 even thou it's the worse of the two..

Gears 2 will definitely sell more. My preference goes to Resistance 2 though.

I liked RFOM, but GoW was a better game. I expect GoW2 to be a better game.

If i were you i'd wait until all of this e3 storm is over to post this :P, anyway, i think gears 2 will sell better, about wich one will be better.. well.. i think it's still soon to know it.

Hmm both developers make games that average around ~87% metacritic, but Epic is a FPS game developer so I would bet on Gears rating higher given even odds for both.

Gears outsold R1, so I would probably bet that it will do the same again but probably by a smaller margin, depending of course how good the games are relative to each other.

The difference will be smaller than it was with the first iterations of the games.
Resistance will be the better game in almost every way IMO.

But Gears 2 will outsell it.

Lifetime sales could be very close though.

Both good games.

But gears will a) Sell more and b) be higher ranked on gamerankings and metacritic.

Why?
- Well gears 1 outsold R1 and the gap between 360 and PS3 sales worldwide is still quite large therefore there will be more people who are able to buy gears 2.

- Gears is the flagship franchise of the 360. Resistance isn't, it was a great launch title and stands as a solid franchise for the PS3, but it's just not gears big.

- Gears is a 3rd person shooter, a market that's slowly filling up, where as Resistance is a FPS, a heavily overcrowded market in which to truly stand out, you HAVE to hit AAA or else you'll be left in the dust.

Still, I will play both games and enjoy both games, I'll decide which I like better after I finish both.

my vote is on gears of war, even though I liked resisatance better myself also
