Yeah. Resistance 2. Years away! So is Little Big Planet! So is SOCOM: Confrontation! So far away!

/thread

Try again legend.

And Valkyrie Chronicles and Ratchet and Clank Quest for Booty... and so many others

If you could show like a 2 second clip accidently on PSP "showing". Either way a lot of games i thought were coming in 08 are coming in 09.

I really perfer the new nintendo model of "Showing games that should release during the year only."

Like Wii Sports: Resort?

Isn't that coming out in Spring? Aka before next E3?  Therefore any announcement at next E3 would just be about how well or poorly it sold.

Well in that case... Resistance Retribution and Killzone 2 can be added to DMJ's original post ;)

Both showed games that are coming out this year along with other games that will be out later, sony happend to show more games that are coming out later. MS did have the most games actually being played out infront of you which might have led people to believe that they showed more games coming out at sooner dates.

Yep. If there is anything i'm sick of though it's games that are announced and show like 2+ years before they come out. I mean I lost interest in spore like twice... and had to be won back over two times.

FF13 i got... since it was already announced for PS3 AGES ago... back at like E3 1957.  Still though.

And Resident Evil 5 is multiplat so Sony didn't need to show it off. And isn't Fallout3 multiplat too... if so they don't need to show that off either.

A may release for GOW seems really optimistic. I mean all they have is a CGI trailer that was like... 30 seconds.  I'd guess like September/October 2009.

God of War III will be out in March of 2009.

Believe:

God of War March 05

God of War 2 March 07

I like that the "sony fanboy's" completely break apart the original post with fact's, and it's all of a sudden damage control -_-; Dmeister owned this poor thread...

Please. Dmeister doesn't even own the console of which he's a fanboy, let alone this thread.

He broke apart the original statement with a measly few sentances. And like you said, he doesn't even own the console he's defending :/ That makes it even more sad ><

I will agree with the perception of things, but then again that's not Sony's fault, people will believe what they want to believe. I picked up a PS3 because I liked it's functionality, I liked it's versatility as a media player. And so far... it's been nothing but outstanding in such a role :P The perception I had was that it was a fully fleshed out piece of hardware, and man is it.

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

Lol I know they are multiplat but sony didnt know exactly what was going to be showed by ms. Thats not the point my point was that actual games being played on stage might have led people to think that ms were showing stuff that was coming out sooner than what sony was showing. When you see a game being played it gives you the impresion it is futher along than just a clip or a trailer of a game. Plus fallout3 was being showed because it will have exclusive content for the 360.

Microsoft mostly showed third party games, the only exclusives they showed were Fable 2 and GeoW 2. Infinite Undiscovery and TLR were shown, but we did not see much of either.
Sony showed Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet, and then glimpses of Motorstorm Pacific Rift and SOCOM confrontation, so they are about equal

Microsft also showed BK and Viva Pinata. Those two games look very good and I am very Excited about BK and the new arcade version of the original BK.

Where's the meat? i.e. what are these mystery games that Sony showed that aren't coming out either this year or before next E3. Again, they barely showed Killzone, which didn't even have its own trailer. It was only in various montages with many other games. Plus it's coming in early '09 so IMO that fair game for E3. They showed Infamous. Again early '09. God of War and MAG are the only ones likely to come out in the second half of '09 or later, and they didn't show ANYTHING about GOW. It was a teaser trailer that just acknowledged it exists so fans are happy. Considering the backlash Nintendo gets for not reassuring their fans, the GOW trailer was a smart move to keep everyone happy. MAG on the other hand is a pure hype machine equipped with CGI trailers showing off gameplay-like events. But guess what? FFXIII is the same thing.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Right Sony didn't know what MS will show... but why would they even care about multiplat games? Their strategy is focusing on exclusives. It's pretty anti productive to focus on games comming to both systems.
