E3 belonged to sony, they showed the most promising stuff, and certainly that new video store is better than marketplace video store. i think everyone can agree that the little big planet showcase was a killer.

  • top games   - subjective
  • free online play - majority dedicated servers - ok. (though the servers is a mute point)
  • better psn store layout - subjective (better layout if you say so... but no content)
  • better video store - no, way.  only US so far i believe and Netflix kills it anyway
  • more unique titles - really?
  • built in bluray - ok - a big reason for me buying my ps3. (though the download service is in conflict with it???)
  • free recharging cable for controller - lol. a usb cable costing £1 (id have preferred not to pay £40 for rumble)
  • built in wireless - ok.
  • built in browser - for what its worth.. hardly use it.
  • home, imo the best looking online experiance - if it ever arrives... still dont get it personally, cant be arsed to spend time running around virtual rooms to look at trophies and talk to my other geeky mates.
  • best console - well only if you believe all of your above comments

list goes on and on, i simply cannot wait until ps3 overtakes 360

 

You alright mate?... you seem to have gone a bit mental the last few days...

They are both very good consoles with some very good games.  I dont understand this rabid hatred of either or love of the other.

Its called "fanyboyism". You cant really understand the disease, unless you actually have it. Symptoms include a rosey hue around the cornea and a unique ability to "spin and twist" the truth to ones liking. Spincrafting, I like to call it. Luckily I have been immunized.  At least I think I have.

With all this talk about smaller secret conferences, and Nintendo still waiting to announce their big games for the second half of the year, it's a bit early to say who won.

Let's talk again when E3 is completely over.

by the way, even if the grade for Nintendo E3 was 0/10, Wii is still the leading platform and will keep on being, Sony/Ms announcements will have no effect on the cosole wars + they are direct competing with Wii, as MS included Wii in their outdated sale graphs.....

And how many gamers are going to care now that Wii sells so much after what they saw now at E3?

I like all the announcements of how Microsoft "won"... yet none of these people would show that press conference to a friend >_>. It was an embarrassing wreck.

Almost no one clapped on time... ever.

The "presenter" did a worse job holding interest than even Jack Trenton (who doesn't like public speaking)

I "LOL'd" when they introduced the new face of Xbox 360! The audience was dead silent...

They played that stupid song like 8 @#$%$# times to introduce some new MS spokesperson.

They told the most jokes... and received the least amount of laughter...

All of they're casual titles received a huge wtf moment of silence.

I wasn't sure whether or not to laugh... or cry... when I saw they're "At the movies presentation"

They're opening ceremony showed off Fable, Gears of War 2, and two multi-plats...

They directly used another companies name to present they're data... bad form.

They're performing star was unexpected and terribly placed in that presentation. And was getting "ok's" type scoring for a song she performed :P

It was overall just a sloppy, un-organized, waste of time and I had a ton of those moments where in the movies you want to look away because your embarrassed for the main character's. I mean honestly, if this is reason Microsoft's press conference was tit's and then some... shit... you might want to go to a doctor to check that out xD Without that FFXIII announcement, the 360 would have been a literal laughing stock of E3 with probably the worst conference seen in years :P (To be fair, I haven't seen the Nintendo speech). Microsoft's E3 am fail.

Sony's presentation was at least clean and organized, showing off more titles around the platforms than any of the competitors. My scores.

Sony 7 or 8 /10. overall good presentation, they didn't show off games that I know they have in the works! But they showed a good mix of current stuff, future stuff, and they showed big advancements in they're network community and what not.

Microsoft. Ew... 5/10

i can't believe people think a 20sec CGI footage of a tower and a 10min CGI clip of a game that hasen't even started to be made was better then actual real life demos....Haven't we been here before? Lair/Warhawk/Haze anyone?

MS and Nintendo at least showed you games you will have soon.

Their conference was so boring.  The crowd didn't even clap or laugh.  But during the Sony conference, they clapped after every montage and showcase, and laughed at Jack Tretton's jokes.

I was like Chrono, I cringed much more during Microsoft's press conference than Sony's press conference.  I cringed the most during Nintendo's though.  That lady sucked.

I don't understand how you can win a press conference by showing off two multi-platform games, and a bunch of casual games, and a new dashboard, with no kind of applause or anything.

I like that comment above about showing a bunch of CGI "Teasers" at an E3 event... Yeah we get it, you don't like CGI... AT LEAST THEY SHOWED SOMETHING!!!! They showed real life footage, and they showed CGI teasers, get over it!!! They didn't show "more in-game footage" because Microsoft already showed the multi-plats! No need to show them AGAIN. We got in-game footage for Resistance 2 and Infamous, you got in-game footage for Gears 2 and Fable, yaaaay! Were all happy campers ^___o
