Jesus. This music creator was already pretty amazing, but that midi port really opens it up. Any word if you can hook up keyboards?

Do you really have a TD-20?

Good lord. Where is this talked about?
This thing honestly looks comparable to my complete PC studio. The guitar sounds are actually probably a bit better... or at least more flexible.
I'm going to go nuts on this thing. But did he really say there's a 5-song upload limit?
From the joystiq article:
Brian Bright returns to discuss music studio (i.e. song creation mode). Shows off music studio menu, that allows anyone to jump in and out and choose any of the following: lead, rhythm, bass, drums, keyboard. Shows off line 6 modeling options: amps, effects, scale. Different button combinations that can 7 differnet notes. 1-4 people can record in real time.

5 songs at first, when (or if) you get your songs rated positively, you get the ability to upload more. It's done this way to stop idiots from uploading 100 crap songs at once. Plus you can remove a song and upload a new one at any time.
Ok can someone explain the flexibility of the midi ports a bit? Is it just allowing you to use other instruments for the same inputs or does it open up even more options? What makes it so cool?
I think I have the basic idea but I want to be sure I'm not missing something profound.

Basically if you have a set of drums with a midi port you can plug them into the GH drums and use the real drums as your controller. I also heard it can be used for a second bass pedal and also leaves room for further options down the road.
