Forums - Sony - 7-14-08 Do You Hate Sony Or Microsoft?

Regarding the FF XIII issue it is sort of like GTA IV, it makes no difference. PS3 has a lot more great exclusives on the way including: R2, LBP, KZ2, GT 5, Tekken 6 and God of War 3.

Sony is a failure, Microsoft are just doing their jobs. Doing them well, I might add.

Can I hate SE for being a whore?

"My friend has an Xbox and now he can play FFXIII too!!?? Whhaaaaaaaaaa!!!"

The horror of it all...

Happy for fans of FF that will now be able to play FFXIII on a system that they might already own.

Sony probably put the $$$$ that it would have needed to secure FFXIII into other projects. They have a set budget every quarter, and perhaps SE was just asking for a bit too much. Either way this is interesting news but I'm not going to make a whole lot of this unless I hear about other games that were supposed to be Sony exclusives, moving over to the 360 or even just to multiplat.

So, don't make a mountain out of a molehill, folks.

Yeah I hate Microsoft. They actually used money to delay the release of this game by a year. If 360 fans get it that's fine but the delay is hoRRODable.

They want the world to pay them for online gaming. They make systems that break and then give you a few weeks of online gaming like it's a present. Ugh. God we have to stop them!

Resistance is NOT futile!

I dont hate anyone but I think its stupid to delay the PS3 game so the 360 version can come out at the same time. The rest of this was pretty much set in stone from the get go. The PS3 just costs too much atm and its install base in NA has screwed it over.

I do think this can still change pending Sony's ability to move consoles. The moment (if ever) Sony can come within 2,000,000 or so units of the 360 in NA they will release the PS3 version in NA/EU. But at this rate they never will catch the 360, unless they drop the price with some sort of super cell/rsx combo and introduce a slim $250 version.

Never saw it coming, but honestly this is the only way I could see the 360 remaining relevant after Gears 2. Well played.

Neither.

I have never really liked Microsoft (although I defend PC's religiously over Macs), but I have just accepted that both MS and Sony are going to have fewer and fewer third-party exclusives. Plenty of MS games have "lost exclusivity" too, like Bioshock, Overlord, Lost Planet, Monster Madness, probably Mass Effect 2, albeit none of those are as big as FFXIII, and several were not day and date releases.

And to those who say that announcement was at the same level as the N64 losing the FF series completely, I say bullshit. I owned an N64, I know how shitty it felt to not even be able to play FF VII until years later. Its like the difference between sharing a toy versus a toy getting completely taken away from you.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

You're a failure if you bought a PS3 for one game.
