I expect HBO and New Line to go Blu exclusive, New Line only released a couple of titles on HD DVD and was timed exclusive for Blu on new releases anyways, so they might just go Blu now instead of May

HD-DVD promotion group have canceled their CES press conference.

I have not bought one BluRay movie ever since it's pretty easy to download it off the web, but if HBO releases an Entourage bluray boxset then i'd HAVE to buy it. I can't find HD episodes of Entourage anywhere anymore.

First of all, you linked to the 2nd page, not the first, where the OP is.

Second, there is no link, and I have seen sites where someone pretends to be an official source without links.

Third, even if this is true, they are postponing the conference, not cancelling it. Did you just skim that part, or did you deliberately link to the wrong page so we would buy you twisting words?

lol, lord, just let it go. HD DVD lost. geesh. I dont even need to argue with you anymore......ill just wait until all of the announcements come.

I mean it took 6 hours from this announcement for HD DVD PRG to cancel their CES event. Universal is ALREADY looking into BD replication (per insiders who have been right about eveything thus far)

Just take a deep breath, tip your cap and give it up. even the most die hard supporters on all th eHD forums are taking this better than you, its over. deal with it.

Have I stated that HD-DVD would win, or have I stated that this is not enough to push HD films into the mainsteam? There is a difference.

The thing here is that I'm fed up with the lies. I realise it's not that the people support blu-ray. It's that they DON'T support blu-ray. They only care about gloating like assholes, and latched onto blu-ray because it looked like the winner to them, NO BECAUSE OF ANY BENEFIT OF THAT FORMAT.

I'm mad because I realize if this is the audience for hi-def films, it has a CRAPPY AUDIENCE. I really liked the possibility for HD, but these jerks are not actually encouraging growth of the formats. They are just encouraging beating one side into the ground.

You think these people would stop gloating if that could guarantee blu-ray would win? They wouldn't since the DON'T REALLY CARE IF BLU-RAY WINS.

So I'm fed up with the liars, who don't really believe in their cause. 

What needs to happen now is for Microsoft to make a comeback announcment like including a HD-DVD drive as standard in the X360 with no price increase.

 I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. If Microsoft was serious about putting a drive in, they should have stuck one in from the beginning. Look at what the PS3 did for Blu Ray. (Yes, that is an assumption, but considering that there are more standalone HD-DVD players out there and HD-DVD is still being outsold by Blu Ray 2:1, I think its safe to say that the PS3 is a major factor)

You are assuming companies cannot change their mind based on situations. The situation is obviously not the same as before the 360 launched.
