For me it is the SNES controller, it is the base of the Playstation controller, later upgraded as the Dual Analog, and then the DualShock1,2,3 which happen to be my favorites over 3 generations... the SNES controller began that, also, when we discussed over the Sega vs Nintendo issue, everyone was with me agreeing that the SNES controller was WAAAYYYY better than the 6-button MegaDrive controller (and it came with the console)...
