Forums - Gaming - My PS3 just got a bastard step brother

Yep, its official im a PS/360.

Along with my USED 360 (i refuse to put up numbers for MS) (also cant wait fer my RROD  >_>)

Im tired of missing out games just because i got one system. I got Mass Effect to go along with it, and i gotta tell u....im not really all that impressed...i mean dont get me wrong....the graphics are really good...but the facial animations are broken........................for the first 30 minutes i had the game i was standing in the engine room and was looking at the eyes of one of the engeneers.....her eyes were crossing over and were just all over the place (i couldnt stop laughing) (even the most serious of conversations turned comical since all the charecter's eyes are so weird....   >>> (o)_(*) )..... i will not take away from the gameplay and the conversation mechanic (which are brilliant) but the constant texture popping got terribly annoying...you guys can call me a fan boy all you want but i would give this game at most a 8/10.

My next thread will probally be the RROD one :P

u know, i had a 360 before and it deffinantly run a lot hotter than this one, although this one is making some weird noises, but thats prolly cause Mass Effect is maxing it our ^_^

Try to set your biases aside and enjoy some games... I just bought a PS3 to join my 360 and Wii and I'm pleased that I now have all three.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

Ahh Mass Effect. Another reason I don't need to get a 360 because I have a PC.

i have a PC too, but it will commit suicide even if it hears me opening a Mass Effect box

Welcome to the club, all the systems are great. When I got my Wii I wasnt impressed at first, but once I played games like Zelda, Mario Cart, Trauma Center, Boom Blox, I love it.

The X360 is an amazing machine. Did you purchase a new one, or pick up a used one? If its new and made in the last 6 months you shouldnt have any problems with RROD. If you like RPG's pick up LO, its awesome.

With MS new announcement about downloading the game to the HD, you can do this soon and reduce noise, heat, and power. When your through you simply delete the game from the HD, accept for the save game, and your achievements will remain. Even with the smaller HD I am putting my RPG's on it simply because they are played for extended time in comparison to shooters....ect.

See if you can find a great deal on a used Gears. It's a bit dated, but it is still a fun game if you like shooters. Also, check out the games lists in the MS forums for some ideas on inexpensive games...

by buying the used 360 you still put up numbers for microsoft, because that's one fewer used console available, and eventually someone's going to have to buy a new console sooner because you decided to buy that used one,

you're a terrible person
