I hate this term multiplatform that is being thrown around for FFXIII.
The better term or word to use is Port. Lets say for example Bioshock was never released in Japan yet for the 360. Now lets say the 360 and PS3 version of Bioshock both get released at the same time in Japan coming up.
Bioshock was still initially made all exclusive to the 360, and then ported to the PS3. The port and the original were just released the same time in Japan.
Thats like the same as here, just opposite regions. The PS3 game is released first Japan. Then they decide to do a port to the 360, yet wait to release the PS3 game until the port is done for a simultanious release. (which is the only thing i could see M$ pay for) no they didn't pay for the game, SE just saw an oppertunity for a lot of money out west.
But I don't see how delaying a game for a port to be released same time helps them, yet it helps microsoft. Thus where they would pay them.
