How many FF's do you think we will get this gen? Usually it's 3. 3 on NES, 3 on SNES, 3 and PSX, 3 on PS2, but this gen? I don't see 3 happening. FF13 won't be released in Japan until sometime next year, it will probably be another year or close to it before it gets released anywhere else. That means it could be 3-4 years into this generation before a single FF hits the shelves. Unless they just rush the next two using the crystal tools, I don't see this gen going all the way to 15.

Personally I think this will be the gen of FFXIII and it's spin offs. I think this gen will only have 1 canon Final Fantasy game, and then FF13 Versus, whatever the other 13 game is that's coming to cell phones, maybe a hand held and wii 13 spin offs. But with how long and how much money it's taken just to make this one, I don't foresee this gen getting all the way to Final Fantasy 15.

Only FFXIII, unless a non-hd console gets IV.

Before this E3 i though maybe two FFXIII and FFXIV but after this we will be lucky to get both FFXIII games before gen ends.

I think this gen will go on longer than the normal 5 years. I think NA will get FFXIII in early 2010, then XIV in Late 2012. A lot of XIII's development has been Crystal Tools.

I agree with steven787. We´ll maybe see XIV late on the console cycle.

A main FF only or spin-offs and side games included? Because with the latter we get plenty. I would say 3 main FFs with the last one coinciding with the release of next-gen consoles.

I see 14 as being possible, but I think it's also possible they will pass on 14 in order to remake 7 or something.
