Forums - Gaming - RE5 Co-op

There's apparently still a possibility of making it local co-op in addition to the online.  Anybody else want local play MORE than online co-op?  I prefer playing at home with a friend... you guys want to start a petition to make sure this happens, or am i the only one that feels this way?

IGN: Will there be split-screen single-system co-op in addition to online?

Takeuchi:
We have really focused on pushing the graphics to incredible heights so far, and that hasn't allowed us to explore split-screen single-system co-op yet. It's at the top of our list.

It really pisses me off when a game doesn't have any local multiplayer functions when there are online ones. I really hope they put in the local co-op since local co-op is one of favorite things to do while gaming.

Online will be a blast.

Yes online will be the shiznit, but let me put it this way:

You know how watching a scary movie is best with your jumpy girlfriend (or boyfriend)? I want that in RE form. My girlfriend jumped several times with me in RE4 and she wasn't even playing, I think playing along side would be even better.

I realize left4dead will definitely have it, but the Resident Evil series is just soooo good at suspense so I really hope they do too.
