Forums - Microsoft - Rate Microsoft's E3 Conference

13/10

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

I am surprised everyone is saying that hitherto the FFXIII announcement the rest of the conference was crap. I would gice MS a 9/10. I believe they have set the standard for this E3 high. Nintendo and Sony will be hard-pressed to top MS' conference. I would have given them a 10/10, but there was no mention of Alan Wake, Left 4 Dead or any of the Bungie games. Sure, these games may be expounded upon later, but as of right now that is pure conjecture.

It remind me of raw like when wada came back and said one more thing and then annouce FFXIII.Then should have put this song:

6/10 They're not pushing the industry, FF13 on the 360 is just a blow to Sony fans, Nintendo will be the king this gen

Portal, Banjo, GoW2, XBL update, netflix, FF13, Fallout DLC, Resident Evil, XBL games, new ways of gaming (in the movies), casual stuff, the conference was pretty impresive on news terms not so much on fun.
9.5/10

9 for the announcement op FF13
so 6 on average

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Want to play:
Wii: Lego Indiana Jones, SMG2
Xbox360: MW2

really i think it was fantastic
i would have given it a 7/10 but the FF announcement was EPIC (one more thing!) perfect way to do it
9.5/10

Owner of all consoles cept DS.....Currently in love with prototype!

Almost everything at the show was either expected or just useless. Oh and the showed they're own revolutionary Xiis avatars :D There were a good few trailers/demos, but again nothing short of expected, to me at least -_- The numbers the pulled up to show superiority over thee PS3 was lame but their claim that they were going to beat the PS3 in hardware sales was good for a laugh, at least they still have their sense of humor ^_^

I did like a few of the new live announcements and Portal: Still alive still has me excited. I like that they tried to delve into the casual market a little but probably just something brought up by the Wii's success. FFXIII was a pleasant surprise for all 360 owners but is not NEARLY enough to make up for the majority of it.

5/10 (below average), a few suprises but nothing had that wow factor i'm looking for. I also would've considered bringing it up to a 6/10 but the artist for lips they threw in there hurt my ears >.>

I'd give it an 8/10. Microsoft's best conference since they've been in the Biz, but not the best historically.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
