Forums - Sony - Haze timed exclusivity on PS3 non-existant in Europe (almost)

Ubisoft releases European release dates for upcoming games:

September:

  • Settlers VI (PC) -- 7 September
  • Dark Messiah: Elements (Xbox 360) -- 7 September
  • Brothers in Arms: Double Time (Wii) -- 21 September

October:

  • Naruto: Rise of a Ninja (Xbox 360) -- 19 October

November:

  • Assassin's Creed (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) -- 9 November
  • Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) -- 16 November
  • Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (Wii, DS) -- 16 November
  • Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction (Xbox 360, PC) -- 16 November
  • Haze (PS3) -- 23 November
  • Haze (Xbox 360, PC) -- 30 November

1 week timed exclusive? Anyway these are European dates from Eurogamer so I'm guessing in the US there is an actual timed exclusive. So Ubisoft doesn't think Halo will hurt Haze sales in Europe if it comes out soon after, but they do think so in the US?

I don't get it, will Haze be release in Europe before NA?

I feel I'm missing something here.

sucks for ps3 only fans but as long as the ps3 was the lead platform in developing the game you should still be happy...

Halo is an American thing.  Outside the U.S., Halo and FPS's in general aren't anywhere as big a deal.
Outside the States, they're probably like "Halo, Haze, whatever...just some shooting games that begin with an 'H'".

No, FPS are big everywhere but Japan. Halo isn't the biggest game in Europe (it did fine -- both iterations sold approximately 1.3 million copies there) but Half Life has sold extremely well there, and many of the best CS pros come from Europe.

Yeah I saw this at CVG, don't get what the point of a one week exclusive, unless that is the same weekend as Uncharted and Killzone 2, then if they see the three of them on the shelves and not on the 360's shelves, they'll turn there

add me

Let me put it this way...Medal of Honor is more popular outside of the U.S. than Halo is.

euro dates are meaningless.

where the US dates.
