I'm hoping Apple bring some of their key franchises to the table with this one. Particularly chess and the sliding tile puzzle game from System 6.

So the App Store has been out for a couple weeks now. What have you guys bought on it? What would you recommend? There are now 900+ applications on the App Store. I have AIM, Shazam, Aurora Feint, iPint (xD), Tap Tap Revenge, and AOL Radio.

Tap Tap Revenge - FREE - A fun rhythm game with downloadable songs. Im not too great at the game but its a must have considering its free!

Aurora Feint - FREE - A great puzzle game with RPG elements to it. The game still has some bugs, but they are getting worked out. This is the game I play the most. Definitely recommended.

The Facebook and MySpace apps are handy. Yellowpages are cool too. Shazam is 100% pure awesome.

I'm also becoming addicted to Aurora Feint. Good game and it's freeeeeeeeeeeee.

So can this thing even be used as a phone anymore?

The iPhone?  Of course.  Its an amazing phone.  I found out today that even once my phone is completley dead, it still keeps track of missed calls and such.  Not sure if a bunch of other phones do that, but my old one didn't.

I'm just waiting to find out from my Dad if he is going to go to AT&T. He gets a bad signal with his current carrier where he is moving to. I like to stay in the same network to keep my minutes down. Of course, one of my friends who soaks up a larger amount of my minutes moved over to AT&T a while ago to get an iPhone, so I might change anyway. I do want an iPhone.
