Forums - Sony - 360 can have timed exclusives RPGs as long as THS IS TRUE!!!!!!!!!!

I really fail to see how the remake of a good RPG would compensate for timed exclusives....

The game sold what? 10M and FF sales have been declining since then? Where do you see a market for the remake?
people who have the original won't buy it (besides the 100K hard core FFVII fans that have 5 copies of it already and already bought a PS3 because FF13 will be out on it in 10 years) and the portability which is the major appeal of current DS remakes is not something the PS3 does.

I'd think by now people would know that almost everything with the Final Fantasy name on it gets good ratings.

Lost Odyssey is much better than FFXII, VII, and VIII in almost every aspect and it still got just good ratings.

Whatever.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and I won't criticize, but,

hahahahhahahahahahaha

Care to explain? Which aspect of the above mentioned games is better than Lost Odyssey?

Inferior Storyline and Characters, an imporant part of an RPG.

Also, the storyline was derivative and didn't really bring anything new to the table, although the memory segments were cool.

The load times and slowdown were also pretty bad in comparison, when you consider this is a 360 game and FFVII and FFVIII are PS1 games. Then you have FFXII which had little to no slowdown and very little loading times.

Please tell me you are calling FFXII's character's inferior and not LO's characters.

LO is made by the dude who created FF AFTER he bombed his first, and only, FF movie. How can one make such an epic series, and then cause the company to lose a ton of money? Also, Mist-Walker =/= S-E, so don't bother trying to make character comparisons when you have Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshitaka Amano working together. On FFXIII, the game didn't lack any sort of character development. I mean, people were complaining and whining about FFVII-FFX characters, so they did something different for once, and people still complain, but makes them look like hypocrites and contradicts what they like.

Didn't the FFT team make FFXII?

Yes, they did.  That's why FFXII takes place in Ivalice
