What fears? That Wall-E will cause the videogames crash of 2008? There's been plenty of unplayable licensed crap since E.T. came out. Why bring this up now?
It's safe to say you are talking the crazy talk.
I've only seen the Reviews on the Run review, it got like 5.0/10 and 5.5/10 - it didn't seem terrible, just extremly repetetive.
I think he means that since it was such a great movie and if the video game sucks there will be a crash.
A few problems with that theory:
1) E.T. was hyped extensively for a prolonged period of time
2) We are used to crappy games by now and it wouldn't make a difference
3) Wall-E may be an incredible movie, but it isn't as big as E.T.

I'm not talking about the crash; I'm talking about all the movie licensed games released since then that have been very nearly as bad, if not worse... and besides that, it's been 20-odd years since the end of the previous epoch of console gaming... If a crash is gonna happen (I'm not saying it will, just making the argument), we're probably long overdue for it anyway...

Your question makes absolutely no sense.

Maybe he means it's a great movie and the hype of it sells the game which is pretty poor.
The movie industry hasn't crashed for a long, long time (if ever), why would videogames? It's not like waiting for a meteor to strike earth.
Don't try to post a thread if you have no idea what you're saying.
