How long until people get bored with the Wii?

360/PS3/PC gamers maybe, but Wii owners are starving for them

Are Japanese people really getting bored of JRPGs? Seems to me they're just buying them for handhelds and not consoles.

I understand where you're coming from, though. It seems like any half-baked FPS can launch on X360 and get at least 500k sales. I like a few FPSes, but surely there has to be a saturation point somewhere!

you think people are going to get bored with shooting people for fun. NEVER!

It would kind of get boring to play the same genre, especially when innovation is hardly there, if ever

In terms of hardcore games, JRPGs are still the most popular genre in Japan.

If it hasn't happened by now, its not gonna happen.

FPS's are a great driving force in the progressive movement of consoles. (because they typically stress the hardware as much as possible)

-this is a good thing.

-This is also the reason the wii has no shooters.

Until next gen...

Not to mention, they are very multiplayer oriented rather than single-player which adds to appeal...
So if any genre is to pick-up, it is likely to be another multi-oriented one.
