That's why you don't see asian americans in Movies. That's why blacks are rarely found inside movies. (at most 25%). I haven't seen an asian person play in the NFL. Why? I want an answer. But someones probably going to say "because asians suck at sports!".

Not that I don't see your point, but your example of CoD4 is absolutely horrible. The Russians and Arabs you fight are terrorists staging a coup, and you actually fight alongside many other Russians.

Also, almost 50% of games developed are developed in Japan... surely you don't think those games are all for targeted at the Western audience.

Im confused. The /sarcasm threw me off. You DO know the slurs for white people, ya? Just watch Chris Rock do standup. Never mind each "white" race having its own.

Well, the only good money is white money I guess, I really do know why but that's going to take way too much research to prove... Way back in my college days I had to do some paper work on the mind of a slave, I found a book – I can assure you that, that was some of the most heart breaking and disgusting read I had ever subjected myself to, the book I refuse to mention even though it simply references a writing from America’s 1700’s.

The African American even to this day express traits of what these men influenced in them. The idea wasn’t simple it was just really not right – but anyway this conditioning required two to tango and so even whites weren’t free from the talk of these men.

But the mentality comes from the developers/publishers being majority white in reference. When they think of this story the antagonist and protagonist aren’t exactly set – in fact it usually isn’t until active thought is given to these thoughts that they develop shape visually, which is where the reference comes from. By feel they hint towards white until reaching what they hinted at.

As far as race goes – the American human race is probably one of the most screwed up, the Africans have almost always been killing each other, European kings and civilians in their greed didn’t just help things they also crippled Africa – certain parts of Africa were progressing quite well until guns fell into the wrong hands.

I read an interesting discussion about this recently, though I can't find it now. Basically, the point was that the Japanese don't see the characters in their games as white. They might have blonde hair and blue eyes, but to them these are Japanese people with those features. These superficial differences are just the differences they see among themselves represented with a bit of artistic license. They're an expression of the universal character that everyone identifies with themselves.

To me this makes a lot of sense. And if you look at the characters more closely, they seem to support this: at lower detail they're usually stylized anime characters, while at higher details (like in the FF FMVs or Advent Children) they take on distinctly Japanese facial features.

I finally thought of a main character that wasn't white though. It's Ryu Hayabusa. Perhaps thats why his face is never shown?
