To my understanding the common link between all Fabula Nova Crystallis titles is that they all revolve around the crystals and have common mythologies. In the case of Final Fantasy Versus XIII it is neither a prequel or sequel to Final Fantasy XIII it is just set in the same universe as what Final Fantasy XIII will be set in.

Squarehead...what you just said really piqued my interest! It's a pity I don't have a PS3 to try the game out when it comes.

FFXII used a horrible mmo type real time battle system, and XIII seems to be more of an action rpg. Oh how I wish they would make an FF game series that was turnbased.

 

 

XIII's battle system is being made by the guy that made FFX's, and it won't be like FFXII's.  FFXII was primarily made by the FFT team and guys that worked on FFXI.  FFXIII is being made by the FFX guys.
