Forums - Sony - Uncharted: How did I miss this?

I wish the stop and pop shooting mechanics of GTA4 and MGS4 were as smooth as Uncharted. Neither of those games have terrible mechanics, but I can't play them without wishing the controls were tighter.

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

Ha i sold my unfinished Uncharted for GTAIV, and regretting it. This game had sick ass graphics and high paced action, and graphics!! Believe me when i say good graphics, i play on a 19" dusty black bulgy old boob tube SDtv with a broken right speaker. I know what good graphics are lol. *secretly craves an HDTV

its the best looking console game out, every1 needs 2 own this game

Respect for compans: SONY > NINTENDO >>>>>>>>>> MICROSOFT

Yeah dude, it looks better than that.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

actually they did advertise this game pretty aggressively when it was coming out in Canada.

you should have bought that game ,,,especially since trophies for this game are coming.

How did I not know about this game! This is one of the hottest games on the system?!

Sonyyyyyyyyyyyy (marketing team)!!!!!

YOUR FIRED!!!

So you missed like the cinematic commercials that were on TV every commercial break when it released... also the compilation adds that featured it since then?  As well as the massive internent hype on sites like this (including this) leading up to it's release and talk about how the game was after it's released...

and Sony's Marketing team is fired?

What did you want them to do... directly send you a singing telegram?

I know,,,when someone asks for a game recomendation uncharted is in everyone's list and honestly it deserves to be there,,,,it is not just the beautiful graphics or fun gameplay,,it's the way the story is told

and the twists in the plot which forces you to change game play techniques.

Yep. This is one of the best games ever in my book.

Check out my game about moles ^

Uncharted is a good game, playing it right now. Far from perfect, it has a fair amount of issues for what many have claimed a "AAA" title, but it is definitely fun and is keeping me entertained.

Biggest gripe for me is the "not as tight as gears" gameplay and the "we'll make this game difficult by throwing more stupid AI enemies at you rather than making them clever and not so repetitive in their actions" mentality that naughty dog seems to have with this game. Sure I love shooting pirates as much as the next guy, but them running directly at you and you only getting killed because you're getting shot from all directions (because you can't kill as quickly as they can pop up and run at you shooting) gets frustrating.
