Forums - General - Doctor Who Season finale Tonight!!! Series impressions and expectations

There may or may not be a dupe thread but i've been away a week and don't care.  Spoilers for non-UK viewers.

After last weeks  shocker, How can Russell T Davies ever match the quality of the las two episodes? Guesses at replacements have been slightly premature, as living in Cardiff, most of the filming takes place near where I live, and recently the local paper's have been full of pictures of the christmas episode filming, with david tennant featured prominently( Along with interestingly Cybermen). Although this may have been an exercise in throwing fans off the scent.

My personal favourite episode of the series has been Turn Left. The Sci-fi sliding doors premise was executed brilliantly, and also did the impossible. It made me like Donna.

The library episodes were also exellent, and bode well for when Steven Moffat takes the head writer's crown from RTD

Can't wait for tonight's finale. I dont think David Tennent will leave tonight or at least I hope he won't. Midnight was probably my favourite episode of the series so far.

I can't wait either. The last few episodes have been amazing.

My dad reckons he is going to transform into himself again, and saying; "This has never happened before".

I have to admit they have done a good job covering it up in the age of the internet.

Dammit, I missed it!!! I'll have to watch it on I-player, surprisingly few fans, considerin it's probably the UK's biggest show ( And appeals to the same demographics as this site)

I have to see if anybody uploaded it online yet. Poor Me lives in the U.S so I usually just watch the episodes online.

I had predicted almost exactly what happened to the Doctor, but it was a good plot.

That was a very neat wrapping up of all those peoples' stories, especially how Rose and Donna ended up.

The Daleks will be back, you know...

I still think "Midnight", "Turn Left" and "Silence in the Library/The Forest Of The Dead" were all better than this episode though. I'm glad Moffat is taking over the series, since "Silence" and "Blink", both done by him, were the best episodes I have ever seen.
