You can make multiple accounts on PSN that are region specific. The european and American PSN accounts are easy to make, but the Japanese one is a bit hard.

Theres vids on Youtube if need help, it quit alot of explaining but easy to follow :P

1.search the internet(Google maps or yellow pages for example)for an actual existing address of the country you want to make up the new account for.
2.make a new account like you did your first. But this time with your 'new' country you haven chosen to live in :)
You'll need an alternative(existing)e-mail address for every new account.
And don't forget if you own a Credit Card it will only work for the country you actual live in.
Btw i have four different accounts.
Hong Kong
USA
England
Germany

Level 8 - Hero - Pass 250k
Level 9 - Legend - Pass 500k
Level 10 - Titan - Pass 1 Million

Like i said.It works only in your own country. There seem to be only some minor exceptions i.e. when you have registered your CC very early in the life circle of the PS3 before Sony changed their methods of account registering.
If you specifically meant how i registered my CC then i have to say i am from Germany and will soon be back there in a few weeks. So my CC works well with my GERMAN account.

It is ridiculously easy.

I'd also suggest making a Hong Kong account in addition to Japan and Europ. They often have demos that are only up on the Japanese store, but in english.

Dammit...late to the party(and still with a hangover from last nights party.)

I've got just the Hong Kong account, and of course, the US one.
I've got a couple questions, if anyone would be so kind as to indulge:

1. I was thinking about getting a Euro account but a friend told me that they don't have anything really different on it than the US one. Strictly speaking for demos and other free stuff, is it worth it?
2. Does anyone know if those PSN cards will work on foreign accounts? As in, if I want to buy something on the Hong Kong store, or if kowenicki wanted something on the US store(exchange rates would be favorable in his case.) There are lots of PS1 RPG's that I've never even heard of on Hong Kong that I can't buy.

Thanks!

I wish someone would help becaus I'd like to know as well. There are certain ps1 RPGs I want but their prices aren't worthwile for used copies. If I could buy them off the Hong Kong PSN with an American CC. I'll gladly make a HK account.

@kowenicki
Cool, thanks, I won't get one then. My friend deleted the account after one day. They really need to get more stuff in there.

Oh, if you're into survival horror, the Siren demo is up in Hong Kong.

US and Hong Kong PSN are far better then the european ones.Believe me.At least as long as you don't want to purchase something from this (from my perspective)foreign PSNs.
As far as i am informed most regions(@ least Europe)don't even have PSN Cards.
And i would bet my life on it that they are region based like CC.
