Not that I care, but owning all consoles doesn't mean you have to suddenly like them all equally.
I suggest you look at Metacritic or something for decent games and you can pick up an HDMI cable from any electronics store.

| kowenicki said: Right... so I now have all 3 systems... See I'm not the 360 fanboy (fanoldbloke) you all thought I might have been. I'll post my impressions later. Its a 40gig obviously and I need a couple of things straight away. Can anyone recommend a decent and cheap HDMI cable (cos it looks garbage on the supplied cables) and a wireless keyboard? (I'm in the UK) My wife wants singstar!!!??? and i will pick one other game up (not MGS4 yet) any recommendations... plus which games should i download from the store? |
1. no idea what UK has but if any stores sell Phillips brand HDMI cables they are pretty good quality for cheap. Or else you could just upgrade to component cables for a few years till HDMI cable prices fall.
2. no idea on wireless keyboards
3. Get Singstar for her then, why do you even have to ask this? lol
4. If she likes SingStar show her videos of the Buzz game for the PS3. It makes for a good party game.
5. Retail games: Uncharted, Folklore, Motorstorm, GT5:P, Resistance: Fall of Man, Warhawk, MGS4
6. PSN titles: Super StarDust HD, High velocity Bowling, any PS1 titles there you like.

monoprice.com for cables. Though I am not sure if they ship to the UK. But wherever you end up buying it don't pay more than $15 (would probably be a bit higher over there).
Well u can pick up an inexpensive HDMI cable in most Game shops( I have one it works fine). not sure about Keyboard
. Try Uncharted its really good and will show of the power of PS3 and HDTV. Download Tekken DR, really fun online. congrats on PS3
Don't pay what an electronics store will charge you for a HDMI cable. Go to www.monoprice.com and you can get one for a couple of dollars. Ratchet and Clank is a great game as well as Uncharted. As for the store, download Super Stardust HD and/or Everyday Shooter.
Keep this in mind when reading what I type...
I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.
I m not sure about hdmi in UK
but here are the games:
Uncharted
Heavenly sword
Ratchet and clanck:tools of destruction
Burnout paradise(if you don't ahve it on 360 it looks better on PS3 graphically)
MGS4
if you are into online warhawk
folklore

There's literally a thread on this subject every day.
Considering you already own GTA IV and Call of Duty 4:
1) Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (demo available)
2) Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction (demo available)
3) Super Stardust HD (demo available)
4) Resistance: Fall of Man (demo available, but note later on it gets better)
5) Motorstorm (demo available)
6) Warhawk (no demo, you need to play online)
7) Assassin's Creed
8) Folklore (several demos available, one much cooler than the other)
9) Heavenly Sword (several demos available, Kai demo on Japanese store)
10) Burnout Paradise (demo available)
Oh PSN store games:
1) Super Stardust HD (demo available)
2) Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection
3) Pixel Junk Monster (demo available)
4) Super Rub'a'Dub (loved it with my girlfriend and kid sister, demo available)
5) Snakeball (demo available)
6) Call All Cars
7) Dark Mist
8) Commando 3 (demo available)
9) Blast Factor Advanced Research (basic demo available)
10) Gripshift (or maybe Everyday shooter)
Maybe Warhawk or Gran Turismo 5 Prologue if you don't want them on Blu-Ray (more expensive).
