I know I night get hammered for my opinion but this is the way I feel after completing the game.

That's kind of cruel to give MGS4 a relatively low score

Pretty solid review. I've been complaining about the non destructable environments, small draw distance and the fact that enemies dissapear after 30 seconds on the boards for weeks now...

Otherwise if IGN or other major publications reviewed the game like this, they would get my respect.

The controls seem fine to me... It's more of a personal opinion

MGS 4, Final score only 7.6 out of 10. That is blasphemy. It deserves a 9 out of 10 bare minimum. I give MGS 4 a 10 out of 10.

Yea seriously. Is Gears of War or Uncharted (or maybe much less, RE4) terrible too? Though you can fire from the hip (without a crosshair) for less accuracy in Gears of War, both games require you to hold down and aiming button before you can get your crosshairs to shoot decently.

The controls are okay. They may seem complicated at first, but that's how most games are. In fact, MGS4's controls have been reworked to be less complicated than MGS2 and 3 were (epseically MGS3's shooting and CQC moves as well as holding down even more buttons to do certain actions).

I'll give you that the wall press hardly worth using. However, with the new over the shoulder aiming and rotating camera, the wall press has practically been rendered useless.

*edit* The review also poses some massive spoilers too. I would recommend putting up a spoiler warning just in case.

I usually ignore the relatively lower scores and the higher scores for games... Since no one has given this game under an 8 yet I guess that just means I'll ignore this review.

I didn't read the review but after reading some of the responses from those that have I am glad I didn't waste my time reading it.
