Forums - Microsoft - I feel depressed and angry at my 360 now...

Corrupting youth, what like stabbing wiimote style in manhunt 2. Nah that Wii is innocent of all provocation. Can't wait for the expected Wiimote lightsabre injuries that are sure to incite paranoia in conservative, gun owning, god fearing, closet toilet attending republican knee jerk jerks.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Get a PS3?

I bought two PS3's.  One 80 and one 40...  Both have bricked on me, and I did the 2.40 update last night and haven't been able to keep my systems from freezing ever since...

I have 6 360's (Had 5, but when I sent 2 back for RRoD I got the two and a week later they sent me an extra one)...

I have one Wii, and it has bricked twice now...

This generation is not being nice.

What the hell?

Consoles must have an agenda against you.

^^LOL sounds like it.

Microsoft may or may not send you a replacement. They can tell if your unit had the RROD, of course, but because they're replacing so many units due to the shitty, shitty quality of the 360 overall, they may miss this.

However, if you do end up having to pay for a repair, you should negotiate a lower cost or find your receipt and verify that you bought it more than a year ago.

Paying for a repair is better than buying new, because the paid-for repair will give you the same fresh warranty (1 year + 3 year RROD) as new hardware would and it costs you much less. The new units still seem very likely to break overall.

My brother in law received the same error. Under warranty.

This is what you are going to do: Go to the Xbox site and order a repair for RRoD. They will send you a box. Send the console. Done. You don't need to talk to anyone or anything.

Even if your warranty is expired, they will send you a refurbished console.

Worst thing that could happen to you is that they will return the same console without repairs...

ehhh..... I guess it's true...

except for Nintendo consoles and handhelds...they last upto 6 years at least...

if it does break..you had the 1% bad luck

nowhere near the 30% bad luck of an XboX...T_T

Did you even read what has been said thus far or are you just doing the usual..."Xbox 360 sucks" posting?

He doesn't have to pay for repair as his unit has (or will have shortly) the RROD...case closed.

^^LOL
