Forums - Sony - Breaking News:Sony withdraws Patch 2.40 as MS claims patent infringment

Oh yeah, and what was really annoying about this update was this. Once you updated to 2.36(in my case) the PS3 wouldn't let me roll back my firmware!!! I wanted to re-install 2.35 but it wouldn't let me use the 2.35 firmware I had on my memory stick. AND AT THE TIME THEY ONLY HAD 2.35 ON THE WEBSITE AND NOT 2.36!! It took A LOT of work (I had to pull out one HDD during reformatting and insert another) to get my PS3 up and running again. They should atleast allow you download the update to format your HDD directly on the PS3, the memory stick thing is just retarded.

@Jandres ... dont u mean " Software issues."

Well I don't know how to put it, since I don't know much about computers. Its as if some parts of the PS3 aren't designed to go with each other. The system seems to conflicting with itself causing lock ups.

Initially there were issues with bluetooth headsets and controllers, and when you connect a bluetooth headset the game would momentarily lock up or freeze. That doesn't seem like a memory issue, but a conflicting hardware issue.

Its like the systems components weren't designed to work with each other. It seems more like they are random components thrown together to create a console. I don't know if anyone understands what im trying to say here. LOL reading over it again im not even sure.

Lame.
