Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360 Ebay deal

Hey guys.  I'm a first time poster, long time viewer.

What do you think about this deal I found on ebay?  I bought my Wii on ebay for a similar deal and have been very happy with it; but seeing as the 360 has such a higher failure rate I'm a bit more concerned.  Does this RRoD hardware fix seem legit to you guys?  His high approval rating and 1 year warranty are tempting me to buy..

Seriously! Do not trust. If you really want an Xbox360 you can get a (properly) refurbed one from Kmart that has a 3 year RROD and not invalidated like those are for the same price.

I wouldn't trust anyone that suggests baking a machine is the best way to fix it. If hes lying about it then obviously don't trust him. So either way don't trust him.

Did I mention trust? Anyway the Kmart deal hits on the 7th or you can wait for the Jasper which should have 100% solved the underlying RROD problem anyway, and may come with a price cut too.

Tease.

He has a very good feedback rating.

Judging from the type of post, he's trying to sell refurbed X360s and assuming they have the RROD fix (atleast this is the way it looks via the auction).

I would PM concerning your interest (lets face it, $300 is a good deal for a 360 + 120gb HDD + game), but ask about what the actual RROD fix is, as it looks like he's repairing old, bricked 360's with some sort of mod.

So on one hand "buyer beware" as it seems it's not an official MS mod, but he does have good feedback, which would make me think he's doing something right.

Again, I'd go for it if you don't mind a used system, because your roughly getting an elite w/ extras for $300. But I'd ask him if it includes HDMI.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
