All this things are hard to notice, but they are are, like I said is a little bit better...

The most noticeable difference between DMC4 is IMO shorter loading times and more screen tear with the 360 version.

Actually GTA IV has less aliasing issues on the PS3. Also easily noticeable.

Can't comment on COD4, but a quote:

"That said, all levels (single player and multi) use identical geometry and textures across all platforms."

Do you want pics???

Looking at the screenshots one has to wonder what 360 and Eurogamer are on about:

http://images.eurogamer.net/assets/articles//a/8/8/4/7/7/720p_2.jpg.jpg

The bulk of those games look near identical. It's not like night and day like comparing Killzone 2 with Halo 3.

That does look identical. The only difference IMO is that 360 is darker due to the higher black levels on the 360.

No it doesnt, after seeing the "gameplay" in the pre rendered Killzone 2 trailer, the new killzone 2 GDC which is the same level looks much better, and sharper than the CGI.

The character models look better in the pre rendered, but everything else goes to the actual game.

Also here is MGS4:

MAJOR SPOILER: Skip to 0:45 and on, yes its all gameplay you do play in that scene with those visuals.

edit:Its SD quality, looks much better in HD.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=RjAgFowTF6I

BULLSHIT, get your eyes checked.

The CGI demo I was shown(which they claimed was all ingame) back in 2k5 ran at 1080P/60fps.

When I played the game some months ago it was 720P/30fps and had NONE of the impact the trailer had over 3 years ago.

Lower quality models, textures, animation, volumetric clouds and explosions replaced by bitmaps etcetera.

It IS impressive what they are doing with the PS3 graphically yes but to claim it surpassed the CGI fest from a few years ago, GET REAL.

The fact is that a lot of developers will hype the platform that they're exclusively releasing a game on in order to talk about how much better their game is (than anything that can be released on the competition platform). The fact that you constantly quote developers to hint that sometime in the future the PS3 will magically start to outperform the XBox 360 by a wide margin demonstrates that you are not willing to accept the reality that they perform in a very similar range to eachother.

Yes so the ps2 has N64 quality graphics since its 1st year started of with graphics on par or even below N64.

Also you keep forgetting about KILLZONE 2, which completely obliterates anything on the 360 or ps3 graphicly.

Oh really?

Can you direct me to a N64 game that looks as impresive as Tekken Tag Tournament(Launch game).

And Killzone is impresive, it doesnt however obliterate anything except maybe your credibility(even more).

the ps3 version has less jaggies and the smoke looks better but nothing you would really notice whilst playing the game at diff time, but when the screens shots are next toi each other, it becomes more visable

The problem with PS3 fans in this thread is that you can't post some screenshots/videos to prove your points.

I have acknowledged that Uncharted is more detailed than Ninja Gaiden 2 (which isn't surprising considering NG2 has to calculate many more pixels per second). I even put a NG2 screenshot here.

Why can't PS3 fans do the same with MGS4 for example? leo-j even went as far as claiming that there isn't a single screenshot which does justice to it.

All I'm asking is for something solid (pun not intended). Who knows, you might even convince me if your proof is good enough.

I already posted a video...

Its in SD quality:MAJOR SPOILER skip to 0:45

Yeah, nothing shows of graphics like a heavily compressed flash video ...

@FJ WAREZ

Nice two completely different screen shots to compare, not to mention the actual game screen shots look terrible.

vs

vs

Check the gun in the pics you posted, hugely better in the CGI, now check the gif animation you posted as it features fake prebaked lighting(the flashes dont light up the gun at all)

Well, you can see that quite clearly when you look strap of that shoulder thing. Anyway there isn't much to compare in that picture as theres nothing but grass near camera.

See the ground in this picture,

@jake_the_fake1

There must be a looot of movement, if ground goes like that crappy. :D

Well, can you see the smoothness in this pic,

Especially right hand. Oh, he must be moving it very very fast.

As well as this one,

Especially collar of that jacket. Oh, and yes he is moving fast! However strangely enough his headphones are moving much slower as you can see clearly that theres nice jaggies.

(Sorry I just had to. :D)

Well that solves it, CoD4 and DMC4 features better texturing on the 360...
