Rock Band 2 will make its debut on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft this September and have an exclusive launch window in North America. Rock Band 2 will be available for additional platforms later this year.

"As successful as the original Rock Band continues to be, we've now had the benefit of the last eight months to listen to our fans' requests and to build upon that foundation," said Alex Rigopulos, co-founder and CEO of Harmonix. "Rock Band 2 is a second-generation band game that will elevate the music game experience to the next level."

amazing step forward??? Now so?

Appearantly the first generation peripherals still works with the RB2, so he can't mean it in a "we've added better feature to it".

if he meant that as in "I wouldn't break so easily", it's hardly something to brag about, now is it?

in conclusion, I'm skipping this. I see no reason to support someone who showed clear loyality to Microsoft. I rather support someone who's netural.

GH4 guitars will be compatible wit GH4, but you just won't get the use of the new feature. It's possible they are adding/improving a lot. I hope they announce it soon.

I'm pissed that it's a timed exclusive, but as a Rock Band owner, I realize the greatness of this game and will wait. I realize that Microsoft must have payed them a lot. I'd take money, too. It sucks for PS3 owners to have to wait, and I don't think this will be a big system seller considering RB1 is already out, but I'm still very much looking forward to the game.

DLC working with both games is awesome.

I don't know if you want to call 2 months exclusive... more like 360 version probably got done faster. Doesn't Alone in the Dark come out for 360 now and PS3 later? That's wasn't "exclusive" either it just happen that way. Same with Last Remnants , the game was happen to be done first on 360.

I think EA probably want to get a jump on GH4 and the figure easier to just try to get one version out the door than trying to get all three.

I wasn't that impress with GH3 and really dislike the way Activision is milking the series. My neighbor just went out to get PS3 version of Aerosmith and asking me why his Rock Band guitar doesn't work with it.... He saw that my Guitar Hero 3's guitar work with my 360 Rock Band so he figure it should and the guy at the store (best buy) told him that Guitar are compatible. Thing like this by Activision just annoy me. Not to mention none of the DLC are compatible for GH. GH4 will be all new DLC and so far GH3 DLC is really lacking. I don't see thing will change with GH4: World Tour.
