I just got a PS 3 today with MGS4 and I am having trouble downloading the patch for metal gear online.

I know my internet is working because i just made an account although the server keep giving me errors on that as well.

Anyone else having these problems?

Which download method are you doing? HTTP or peer to peer?

I had trouble downloading a patch for the beta (took FOREVER), but I haven't had a problem with the full release.

peer to peer because it said that one was recommended

No.It might be your connection.

Have you tried doing the HTTP instead?

It depends on what you do. If you do automatching, then you could experience lag. Instead, you should select "Free battle" (I believe that's what it's called) when you pick what server you want to connect to. When doing this, it'll display the servers like PC games (or Warhawk) do and you can put filters on the server list to only have the servers with good connections.

Use HTTP. Took me about 2 minutes to download the patch.
