The Wii's lack of a traditional RPG library has been something of a running joke among gamers for the past year or so,

It has? I mean, with the PS3 having 0 and the 360 having about 2 I'm not really sure who would even attempt a joke.

JRPGs aren't as common as they used to be

PS3  Dissedia 3, Enchanted Arms, that Valkyre game and some considering Folklore also a (J)RPG that would make 4.

X360: Blue Dragon, Enchanted Arms, Lost Oddessy, Eternal Sonata, FFXI that are five of them...

But I think that quote wants to say that PS3 and X360 both have RPG's announced that will come the next years while the Wii is a pretty dry for JRPGs (for him) considering their is no JRPG on the Wii yet (or is there one?)...

If you count those games like JRPGS, then:

-Shiren The Wanderer
-Fire Emblem
also are JPRGs

Either way, the Wii has also games like FFCC and Fragile, wich are close to be JRPGs

=p I was just counting the ones who were released ^^''..  Come on X360 and PS3 have more than ten RPG'S announced I am not going to name them all =p.

He said traditional RPGs though, none of the PS3 games listed are 'traditional,' and the 360 only has about 2, both from the same developer...

Enchanted Arms also not traditional :s?

Enchanted Arms is not even a JRPG, but whatever.
The Wii has at least 1 TB JRPG which is called uh... Opoona.
Then again, the consoles being only 1.5 years old, it's obvious they couldn't get a traditional (meaning turn-based) JRPG before.
I'm surprised the Wii even has 1.
I'm also surprised the Wii already has so many JRPG, being a bit more than 1.5 years old, with 3rd party writing it off from the start. That explains their poor produciton value at least.
