I thought Best Buy stopped selling the add-ons. I have looked everywhere for one.

In the Los Angeles Area, a few Best Buys seem to be clearing out their old stock.

I give that post a 9.6.

Uh oh.

I'm afraid I have some terrible news.

HD-DVD has no new movies coming out,and upscaling pales in comparison to true native HD.But you won't mind.

Waste of money i tell you HD-DVD is dead

It is?  Fuck me.  Momma always said I was thick in the head.  Damn you Best Buy! Damn you!  Welp, back to screwin my kin.

I give that post 9.5.

I bought one too for $40. It's basicly a give away price.

I don't know if I'm the only one who think this, but I love HD/Blu-ray much more than upscaled DVDs.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

Too bad people don't have the luxury of seeing both. We'd probably see Blu-Ray pick up in sales.

I have one and MS continues to support updates. Amazon sells a crap load at 50% off, which makes them around $10-$12 a pop. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but my current HDDVD Library consists of titles such as....The Matrix Trilogy, 300, Batman Begins, Transformers, Pay Back, Pans Labyrinth, Last Samurai, We Were Soldiers, Army of Darkness, Hot Fuzz, Dune, not to mention my daughters favorites, Happy Feat and Corps Bride. Now thats not the best little library, but those are some pretty good titles to be pushing in HD. I have about 8 others that escape me, however, these titles are at the same picture quality and I got them at half blu-rays current cost. So.....I think if you can get your hands on these titles at $10-20 a pop for your $40 Blu-Ray...(cough) I mean HDDVD player good to go man. Dont let anybody get ya down, cause I will still watch these movies and my blu-ray movies, just wish I could get the blue-rays at the price I got these, because there is no difference in the picture quality...period. Not starting a flame war, HDDVD is dead, but give the guy a break, sheesh.

Hehe, I knew exactly what I was buying and why.  I found some people's criticisms of the purchase pretty funny actually.  I'm going to be watching the movie sales in the next few months.  I know some of those movies are going to get even cheaper just to clear them and the leftover hardware.

I give that post a 9.8.
