They tempt me in with a $39.99 preorder of mgs4; how could i pass that up? I check every day since release to see when the estimate says that I will get my copy, and every time I check the date is pushed back 3-5 days.

I just have to vent as everywhere you look on this site people proclaim the game as the best on the system, and I may not have it in my possesion for 2 weeks from now.

Has anyone else who preordered the game for cheap from amazon.ca been pushed back like this?

I'm in a worse situation, Skip(EDIT: maybe not from your point of view. Let's say " a different situation"). I had preordered off Bestbuy.ca in October at the then low price of 59$ (other sites were taking preorders at 69$). I did the same with GTA4, but cancelled it when futureshop was going to preorder it for 59$ in march. So I canceled the GTA4 preorder, and was certain I had did the same with MGS4. Well, yesterday, my second copy of MGS4 arrived in the mail. If I send it back to bestbuy.ca, I have to pay for shipping back (on top of the 3$ S&H fee). If I bring it back to futureshop, they will want my PWN4G3 hat back. As if they will be able to sell a used hat? (I'll just tell them I have head herpes and its too new for them to have heard of it).

Actually, I'll say that I received a copy as a b-day gift (since which is actually true).

bestbuy and futureshop is owned by the same parent company, so there is no morality issue.

odds are that youll get to keep your hat as (at least over here) the employees have little to no knowledge of what they are selling.  An example of this is how at my local futureshop each till has a sign that tells the cashier not to take a return on guitar hero without the guitar.

Well, my bill specifially lists the hat as a promotional item right under the game.
