Well it looks like Itagaki wasn't lying when he said Tecmo was trying to screw him over, as it's screwing ALL of it's employees over!

No just buy fatal frame  from them(if the rumors aren't true), and anybody important to its development.

That's precisely why Itagaki sued them.

A powerful employee can cause a devastating impact by leaving a company! I don't know if it was the case here, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was the catalyst for an employee revolt.

It's like he threw an incendiary shuriken on his way out :P

If Tecmo dies or is severely impacted by this, some other company could hire Itagaki and buy some franchises from Tecmo (notably Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive). If that's what Itagaki wants, he may still be able to work on those franchises :)

Regarding Fatal Frame IV I wouldn't worry too much either - Nintendo can take care of that if the shit hits the fan, after all they were already involved.

But really, assuming this is all true(seems likely), I really hate it for all of the workers and their families who were getting the shaft.

I don't think it's going to be the type of thing where Nintendo can swoop in and pick up the goodies, but it's nice to dream about having Ninja Gaiden on a Nintendo console again. Maybe Itagaki and his legions can form a studio....Club Ninja, then make some cool games like Ninja Stories, Dead and Alive, etc.
