I, too, am a huge Metal Gear fan, but I'm not ready to purchase a PS3 at this point.

I'm a fan, but I'll just wait for a PC version.

Truth be told, MGS4 is one of about four exclusives I'd like to try on the PS3. (The others being Uncharted, Resistance, and R&C.) It's not that big of a deal to me, though, as I'm not an MGS fanboy; I did enjoy the first two games in the series, but not nearly enough to warrant plunking down $460 for a new console to play the fourth game.

More than likely, I'll grab a copy for ten bucks a few years down the road when the PS3 drops to $199.

I'm waiting for the PC version (there's a decent chance it will be true).

I am such a fan of the series so it's killing me. The only other game I want for PS3 is FF13 and maybe Tekken 6, but that's pretty rocky. MGS4 is so tempting though. I remember I would read the documents that came with the other games, like Natasha's take on Shadow Moses. Damn it's such a good series.

Man, I just clocked it and I'm going to play it on hard now. The game is truly awesome and in some ways very nostalgic about the previous games. I understand you want to wait, but the game is so worth it and so is the ps3. The games may look hyped but they are solid games that amaze you. If Mgs4 is anything to go by... the ps3 has this generation in the bag. This is just the tip on the ice berg imo. Games are going to be way better than mGs4 in the future and it will be on the ps3. Also there will be another Metal Gear - so think future my friend :D
