Forums - Gaming - FPS Headache

I'm 24. I have been playing videogames since I was kid.

This gen, the majority of games on both 360 and PS3 are FPS... I'm not a big fan of FPS, but everytime I want to finish one of my games (today I wanted to beat Episode 2 from The Orange Box and The Darkness), my head start to hurt a lot after just 30 minutes or an hour.

Anyone has the same problem? I just have this problem with FPS.

I haven't had this problem, but I've heard about it before. You are not alone, Fernando!

Did you get a headache from watching the Blair Witch Project? That movie has a similar effect on some people due to all the first-person handheld camera shakiness.

i would check with a doctor before blaming fps games.

I get that too. I can't play FPS's for more than 20 minutes at a time. I get the same thing will Zelda: TP too, believe it or not if I'm moving around a lot.

Currently playing: Civ 6

I bet its a tumor.

Bethesda's Todd Howard "if install base really mattered, we'd all make board games, because there are a lot of tables."

This will destroy any tumors you have and allow you to enjoy your FPS experience once more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKDVm6Me3QU

It is probably because in FPS games the camera moves every time you so much as think about touching the analog stick and it gives you slight motion sickness which translates to a head ache. I used to get that myself until I toned down the graphics on my PC some and sat a touch further away. If you can sit further away and try not to whip the camera around as much and every chance you get close your eyes or look away from the screen to give your brain a rest.
