Forums - Microsoft - Has anyone played kingdom under fire circle of doom extensively?

I'm looking for a mindless hack and slash rpg to play at the house but the rating is M.  From the videos I don't see the blood and gore or the sexual themes but they must be there to get the ratings.  I play around a 9YO and don't like surprises.  Anyone care to shed some light on what is in the game?  Games like Halo have dead aliens and alien blood but no language and suggestive themes.  Strangely it's an M game...  This whole rating thing sucks as it isn't accurate or indicative...

I played the demo and was not very impressed. I would have rather them make one like the first one.

You're better off buying a used copy of one of the Xbox Kingdon Under Fire games, either Heroes or Crusaders. I've heard nothing but awful things about Circle of Doom, so I wouldn't bother if i were you. Maybe try Conan if you want something for the 360 itself, or just hold out until Castle Crashers comes to XBLA later this year or Kingdom Under Fire comes out next year.

Ok, well, I guess I better set expectations as well.... I actually like the samurai warriors hack-n-slash fest games. If the major knock is button mashing then that's OK. In previous versions, I thought it was more of a strategy game instead of an action hack and slash but I'll certainly avoid purchasing. I'll try to find a copy to rent first...

I played it.

I didn't see anything overtly sexual or anything like that.

It's been a while, but I don't think it was that bloody or gory.

But it's a pretty crappy game.

It's not very violent, or have any sort of real issues...No idea why it has an M rating.

Its an OK hack n slash game. The issue is that with it being 1 player offline, it can get kind of monotinous.

If you get the game as a rental, let me know. The game (supposedly) is VERY good (and I mean a huge improvement) when played online, with 3 other people. If you decide to get it, I'd gladly hop on a game via XBL with you...As I can definitely see the merits of the game with 4 player co-op.

I checked out the demo and it doesn't seem so bad... I'm going to pick it up soon.... The rumor mill is that Gamestop will be doing a buy 2 get 1 free soon and I've got this on my list. It they don't, I'll pick up a used copy online. There is a 26% + 10% code for their online service which basically means the same 2 get 1 but I can't inspect what I'm getting.... I plan to pick up Lost Odyssey and a few others as well.
