Mass Effect 2 and BioShock 2. I believe will be timed exclusives for X360 in 2009.

I'm not so convinced about that unless MS moneyhats again, which of course is highly possible.

Well Microsoft already had to have got something from EA for giving up publishing rights to ME 1.

I think the two exclusives are important to Microsoft.  Timed exclusives are less expensive, but would very much continue the impression that these two franchises are Microsoft franchises.

I'm from the states. Where I live its 8.5% tax (9.5% in the next town over and even more in Chicago. Tax just went up too) Thats how much the consoles cost over here. You really only get .50 to every $1.00 selling it. So a 500 dollar console you only get 250 back. They all add up fine

Also I was assuming it for the 80gig. I went back and put numbers in for a 40gig though. I'm also assuming that it will get a 100 dollar price drop by the time he rebuys... it could be only 50 dollars then which would make the picture even worse.

You're also assuming Ps3 will have a price drop and 360 wont. Because you are saying he'll save money on the Ps3 buying it after a price drop.

We've already been over your 1st point and we didn't get anywhere, basically I disagree with you.

On your 2nd point, all bought exclusives are timed, some longer than others. If you buy the IP, then that's different.

Shooters:
Halo 3
CoD 4
Bioshock
Gears
Crackdown

RPGS:
Mass Effect
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon

Oblivion

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Dont sell the PS3! Noooo!

By all means buy a 360 if you want, but they are only cheap, theres no need to cash in on the PS3, when its starting to sell like hotcakes

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Lost Odyssey is a must buy. It's my favorite 360 game for sure. Mass Effect is another one worth getting.

Not to turn this into a console-war thread, but the PS3 and 360 are selling virtually neck-and-neck. And on top of that, most big HD games seem to be going PS360 these days, with even a little tilt toward the 360 (see: SO4, The Last Remnant timed exclusivity, Tales of Verspesia).

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

OMG you're selling cause MSG4 didn't boost sales?

at least play the game then sell the thing, not before!! It's one of the few PS3 games I actually look forward to playing.

Get an Elite or a Pro. If you are strictly worried about budget go with a Core, but I don't think anyone would recommend it to you.

Gears of War is of course very good, and Bioshock is really fun. If you are a Halo fan, get Halo, if you are not, don't. COD 4 is a better game anyways, so that might be your best bet.

You might like Mass Effect. It is a pretty interesting Shooter/RPG hybrid, although I think it is a tad bit overrated. Ninja Gaiden 2 should be pretty badass too, even if you aren't that big of a fan of the genre. Once again check out the demo.

Check out Lost Odyssey if you like JRPG's. It is the best one out on the 360 yet. Play the demo for Blue Dragon. If you like what you see either rent or buy it. Eternal Sonata is worth a look too. There is also a demo for that.

Don't play that demo! It's terrible!

BD is a much much better game than the demo implies. Actually, I enjoyed the game more than I did LO.

They are the four games I would get, all should be fairly cheap by now.
When you want more games check out:

-Eternal Sonata
-Dead Rising
-Kameo
-Halo 3
-Saint's Row
-GTAIV

And at the end of the year you MUST play Banjo Kazooie, Gears of War 2 and especially FABLE 2!!!!

Congratulations on your purchase.

If you can afford it, get an Elite because of extra downloadable capabilities. If not, a Pro will do fine.

 Mass Effect
Bioshock
Gears of War

Theses games are not a reason to buy a 360 they are all on pc (idk if halo 3 is out for pc but if it is add it to the list), cracked by the way, with higher resolution and all... oh and better controls. Anyway, why mention fable 2 and when you complain about bad stories?? You are inconsistent.

Also this thread is suspicious, appearing when mgs4 for is out and everyone is saying awesome, that’s a weird moment to try to sell a ps3. Could this thread have been made by a 360 fan trying to make the ps3 look bad in its moment of glory?

I think the best thing about jrpgs is that the stories are good and long, and with B-ray jrpgs can be way longer on ps3 than on 360.
