Empty words when there's no proof

We have seen many developers giving false hope before... So I don't buy this

This probably will be about all you'll get from most developers until they have a game actually underway.

There are some positive signals in the statement as brief as it is:

"We haven’t announced it yet" = clear intention to announce it at some point

we are seriously considering the platform = developers putting someone off will avoid adjectives like seriously

If he had said something like"of course we are looking at the Wii, we are always open to whatever platform best fits our games." That means nothing is happening or likely to happen.
