There are a bunch of videos -- some more recent -- that show smooth frame rates and very interesting gameplay. From one of the vids, I see some shooting as well as hand-to-hand hack-n-slash so that my provide for some very interesting combinations. My favorite genre is hack-n-slash co-op RPG and I'm really, really hoping this one delivers. Please, let local co-op be there.

This game looks like it will have the treasure looting, hack and slash fun of diablo.

@starcraft - I thought they had already announced online coop for Fable 2. I think I saw a video of Pete talking about a friend joining your game and killing your wife.

The simplistic analog stick combat has me worried. I really want this game to be good though, as it presses a lot of the right buttons for me (Norse mythology, sci-fi, loot, etc).

^^ I thought the same thing as well when I saw one of the gameplay videos, but that was all Diablo was and it was friggin addictive.

 Diablo 2 was released in 2000 and we don't have yet a date for Diablo 3 (sidenote: curse you, Blizzard!)

I'm buying it day one. If I don't have a 360 by then, I'll buy a 360 just for this game. I've been waiting for it since it was slated to be released on the N64. I'll be playing it all the way through with my little brother, and that's going to be pretty freaking great.

 I m really soory to break this news to you but offline co-op has been taken out of the game,,,so it means you cannot play with your friends/bro from one console.

 Are you 100% certain of that statement?  If so, would you kindly point to a link where I can check it out?  I'm inclined to think that is correct as the videos show impossible angles and locations for local co-op...
