You send it to Sony...then what? They kidnap some Japanese developers and force them at gunpoint to make a new JRPG? "Announcing" that they're goin to address something they've never acknowledged as a problem isn't actually going to do much.
Petitions are suppose to convince the people they are directed towards(in this case, Sony) to fix a problem that is basically driving people insane

Tell sony to make some more Japanese games so sales can increase in japan, then developers have a reason to make jrpgs on the ps3, or they could do what Microsoft does and buy them.

They have made some Japanese games and have done quite well considering the system's relatively low userbase in Japan i.e. Yakuza Kenzan, Hot Shots Golf 5, Devil May Cry 4, Dynasty Warrior 6

 I said " SONY". They really  need to target the japanese market more. They are too busy fighting with the 360 over the western makret, while the wii is making distance in sales and getting all of the Japanese games.

I agree they won't make Sony start releasing JRPG's.

The point is to make them AWARE of a problem. Not to fix it. Recognition is the key.

Your attitude is the "Candidate x is going to be elected for sure, so why the hell should I even bother to vote for Candidate y?"

Because you have a VOTE--a voice. That attitude is the "typical" american lazy ass, arrogant attitude.

I think they're aware of the situation. It's a little hard for them not to be. I just don't think they care at the moment. They're spending so much on Killzone and other Western style games...

I really don't know what they were thinking by ignoring Japan. Maybe they figured the 3rd parties would pick up the slack.

Fortunately or not, you're going to have to buy a Wii if you want some JRPG lovin' in the future. I'm sure the PS3 wil have some good ones, but the Wii is looking to become this generations PS2 in terms of JRPG development.
