Who else has seen this movie?

It's fucking brilliant.

If you like musicals, it's doubly brilliant.

PS. Leave your homophobic tendencies to the side.

I watched this movie long time ago... I loved the songs. And kind of the history.
I recommend the movie.

Never seen it. I'll check it out. Anything that Rocketpig doesn't hate must be amazing.

Heheheh, I'll warn you now. The songs are infectuous. I just watched the movie again a bit ago and walked about the house singing "Wig in a Box" for a week, much to the annoyance of my wife.

That is, singly, probably the gayest thing I've ever done. The song sticks in your head and refuses to go away.

FYI, the song is about cross-dressing.

For some reason, that doesn't surprise me in the slightest bit.

Maybe it's your avatar.

Have you seen Velvet Goldmine? It's not a musical, but it's about the rise of glam rock. It's very very loosely based on David Bowie, Brian Eno, Bryan Ferry, etc., but very very loosely, in the way that Boogie Nights is based on John Holmes. It's also pretty awesome.

Hey can't a guy be naked and love androgynous pop stars, fictional or otherwise, and not get made fun of on the internet?

My friends almost lynched me for making them watch Velvet Goldmine. I wasn't allowed to pick movies for a year after that one.

Personally, I thought it was decent. Nothing great but an interesting diversion for a few hours.
