Let's see if I can embed a video here...

In case it didn't work, here's a link to the page with the video plus some explanation.

That this is just... WOW! I had no idea robotic arms are that advanced, and the mind control interface is just, well, mind blowing. I don't know if it works for other than amputees yet, but imagine the possibilities when they perfect it for everybody. Sure, it propably costs a gazillion, but hopefully price will come down at some point.

Do you think that kind of tech would be good for gaming? It would mean that you don't have to move to have full control of the game, but then again, I guess you could move and the thing would just read your neurological output and control the game regardless of whether you actually move or just think about moving.

EDIT: Ok, I give up. What's the trick to embedding a video? Or getting it to actually display...

Around the Network

that seems interesting - I saw it about a month ago though - seemed even more interesting then.

As for gaming... I am not sure - maybe for hand helds, but I'm not sure about consoles.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

That is one impressive piece of hardware. Even if it is made of unobtainium.

The actual input is that rubber pad. I suppose you could construct a suit with a similar set of bladders and electrodes, but such a device would probably be very expensive and very uncomfortable to use for any length of time. Not the 'pick it up and drop it' ease-of-use that conventional controllers offer.

Hey, who wouldn't want to have those? And besides, he's pretty close to being the coolest bad guy in movie history ;)
