Forums - Gaming Discussion - AudioOdyssey - a Wii game for the blind

Has anybody played SoundVoyager for the GBA?  It was an audio-only game made by Nintendo as part of their Bit Generations series of GBA games.  They were only available in Japan, and all the ones I played were awesome.  Sound Voyager was one of my favorites.  It had a rhythm game in it like this, but it also had audio slalom, and a 3-D game where you hear a chicken and have to catch it.  I had a lot of fun with that game, AND I'M NOT EVEN BLIND!!!

This one doesn't sound as fun or as deep, but it's still awesome that they're making a game for the blind.

It's a rhythm game.  There is a minigame kinda like this in Zack and Wiki, but you look at visual cues to swing.  In this the cues will be audio.

You swing on time, and the game acts like you're winning.  You swing wildly and the game acts like you're losing.

Yes, this game is, surprisingly, controlled with a controller.

I agree 100% this is an awesome idea for the blind. We should be giving props to this game, instead of trying to downgrade it, as some chose to do.
