Forums - Gaming Discussion - Itagaki quits and sues Tecmo

I think he is VERY over rated anyway, he isn't the sole employee of Tecmo and he cant hold claim to the creation of all their 'good' games like he seems to think he can.

He has his head so far up his own ass, as this latest move proves, I hope they dont bow down to him and inflate his ego anymore.

Furthermore, the majority of his games are pretty poor in my opinion. DOA is a nice fighter but it hasn't progressed other than smoother boobz since its first iteration and playing the highly rated NG games, including the new NG2 has left me thinking "95% for this?"

wow im surprised no one has noticed that he is sueing them for 148 million yen ... or OVER $1 million USD ... which he claims he is owed for complting DOA4...

It sounds like he is simply demanding too much of Temco...

Didn't you watch Austin Powers?

 What nine0nine said is true.

double post

He is very talented but I hope he doesn't start his own company. He just isn't the business minded type. Can you imagine him running a company.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

If he supposed to get his bonus back in January 2006, He would be pissed off for about 2 years already. It's possible that he created 1 or 2 new IP's and now looking for someone to fund his project(s).
I think his games suit the PS3 fan base better than 360s. By the time his first game is released PS3 has passed 360. His only competition on the 360 will be Ninja Gaiden from Tecmo, New Project Ninja Theory and Devil May Cry. There's more competition on the PS3, Heavenly Sword, Brave Arms, God of War, Devil May Cry and New Project Ninja Theory.

@Doktor85: Don't forget that Ninja Gaiden's sales on the Xbox were split between two games - Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black (the remake).

Wow thats a big shock, for a big Japanese dev to have their best guy walk out and sue them.

Maybe Nintendo will snap him up to do some new mature IP for them. Maybe Mr Suda 51 could join him too.

No. We don't need cell shaded breast physics. That would just be wrong.
