I hate alot of things most, given the time of day, and which pair of boxers I'm wearing, but in the given combination this is what I hate most about politics, transparency.
It's really really annoying when they are saying something that clearly they don't really mean, or are taking a position that is so obviously self serving, and yet still trying to make it sound like they care about something other than themselves.
I speak about the battle over the delegates of Florida and michigan. Let's get one thing straight, neither Obama or Clinton care about the voters of michigan and Florida, they care about victory. Clinton is screaming at the top of her lungs that it isn't fair that their vote doesn't count, their vote matters as much as anyone's, they shouldn't be punished because of the decisions of their leadership. I agree with that, the only problem is she doesn't mean it. She doesn't care jack shit about the voters in those states, she cares about their points, their delegates their numbers. Obama wasn't even on the ballot in michigan and he made no attempt to campaign in florida. If it was reversed and the people of Michigan never even had an opprotunity to vote for Hillary, if Florida and Michigan being counted would push Obama over the top right now, I seriously seriously doubt she would be making a stink about this. She wouldn't give a rat's ass about those voters and would be saying that their delegates don't count because they broke the rules.
Obama just tip toes around it because there is no good answer for him. He can't rally against them without pissing them off, but he can't just hand the delegates to Clinton on a silver platter either without shooting himself in the foot and giving her further leverage.
They don't care about those votes or voters, it's just business to them, and it very obviously is business to them. It's transparent, it's a charade because even though we all know it's just a show, we're not alowed to acknowledge it without making everyone look like a dick. And we obviously don't want to make our leadership and political system seem "dickish" because we'd all feel pretty stupid walking into the voting booth and looking at a picture of two big shiny veiny cocks, and pressing a button to decide which cock we want to rule us.
