When or a week after Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out.  That bundle is one hella deal and the PS3 is also backwards compatible.  Sony needs to drop the price somewhere to $100 to milk some sales for the PS2.

Considering its still selling well in the face of the competition....they have no need to.
They need the money with the PS3 still barely breaking even

Well right now the 40GB PS3 cannot play PS2 games and the only choice for them would be to buy a new PS2. When this metal gear solid bundle comes out, this would lower the PS2 sales because people would be playing their PS2 games on there 80 GB PS3.
