Has Arrived!!! (And been around for a few days!) Although no races have begun yet, the weather is damp and miserable so all practices have been delayed or cancelled so far. It's lovely to be able to get back into the old carnival atmosphere First and foremost we have Bushy's tent http://www.bushys.com/webcam.htm You will see me there on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Guaranteed For those that haven't been before, it's set up on a closed Prom with live entertainment on the streets outside, whether this be a big screen showing highlights of the days racing, or various stunt cars/bikes/performers. Always great! Amongst the Beer Tent theres plenty of other places to try too! Sunday is always a treat tho, no racing and every bike on the Island doing a lap around the Islands 37 mile course. Amazing!!! Especially as they make the mountain road one way for the day and no limit! During the afternoon of Sunday is Honda Day in Peel on the West Coast of the Island, well worth a trip to. Big up the Isle of Man!

I've always wanted to go to the Isle of Man. Too bad I'm about 6,000 miles away. :(

Do they still run Mad Sunday around the island or did they finally come to their senses and realize that it's ridiculously dangerous?

Well the Isle of Man Circuit is still mostly two way on Sunday... Except of course the Mountain part of the circuit! (Where you can still go as fast as you want!)

The TT was over as of Friday and no deaths occurred during the races - which is a first in a LONG while. (Note - I enjoyed Free ale from 10 till 6 in the evening )

However 4 fatal accidents from tourists.

All in all - not that bad a year!

Plus the hangovers weren't that bad...

My mother's ex boyfriend used to do the race, sidecar. Him and his brother came in like 8th a decade or so ago. :o
