Believe me it is....Ninja Gaiden Black didn't even have a story. 

Just my opinion:)  I played Ninja Gaiden Black on the xbox and that was the main reason I didn't like it.  I don't think games have to have "killer" stories, but if they're going to "try" to include one then make it somewhat worthwhile or don't attempt it at all...like Virtua Fighter.

I absolutely love Action games....God of War, Heavenly Sword, DMC, etc.  I buy every damn one on all the consoles.  Maybe you don't like stories, but I f'ing do...just my opinion.  And I think some action/hack&slash games do a great job with the story--like God of War and Heavenly Sword (Although HS had many other flaws).

Overall, I just prefer the atmosphere and feel to the DMC franchise.  Just my opinion on two different games I've played.  I think NG does SOME things very well....especially making combos worthwhile and "essential" (unlike Heavenly Sword), but it does some "other" things like crap.

If that's the main reason you didn't like this game, please send me your trash. It must be full of great stuff.

why there is no ps3 version ???damn it

Maybe there will be one later (possibly for the PS4 if it goes the same way as the first game).

I agree. I only played DMC4 but the extremely long install time got me caught up on the story of the first 3 games (nice use of install time in the game), and DMC4 had some great cutscenes.

Different people, like different games. Both series have fans.

I played only DMC3. I will buy DMC 4 later. I just try it for 30 min. Looks good.

My opinion is that NG is better then DMC3. Come on, you can finish the first level of DMC3 just pumping the attack button with both eyes closed. Guess what will happen in NG if you try the same. NG is better in most categories - gameplay, graphics, challenge, enemy AI. DMC3 win in story, cutscenes and replaying.
Heavenly Sword - not bad, not great, too short. One level under DMC and NG.

From an interview with Tomonobu Itagaki, the man mainly responsible for the DOA and Ninja Gadien series:

What did you think of the PS3 game Ninja Gaiden: Sigma? I'm told you won't even sign copies of the game...?

Itagaki: It was no good. 

Why's that? I thought it was pretty good.

Itagaki: All you need to do is play Ninja Gaiden II and then try and play Sigma afterwards and you'll see why.

Despite the fact that it's on a 'next-generation' console there's no evolution whatsoever. That was made not by me, but one of my sub-ordinates who basically tried to copy the success of Ninja Gaiden.

Does that mean we'll never see NGII on PS3?

Itagaki: No because it's a 360 exclusive. 

But Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden: Black were Xbox exclusives at the time...

Itagaki: We've announced it as an Xbox 360 exclusive, but I don't own Tecmo the company. But if that were to ever happen it would be a loss of face for everyone involved.

So the chances of NG2 going to the PS3 are pretty slim...

LOL people are complaining about a story line in some of the best action games ever made LOL.
